Title
Receptionist (PRN)
LocationPuller Veterans Center
Job Duties- Answer multi-line phone, transfer calls to proper individuals.
- Monitor fire alarm system and facility cameras; assist residents, residents' family members, guests and visitors.
- Sell meal tickets to guests, family members and facility employees.
- Work with vending machine representative to receive refunds and disperse refunds.
- Recordkeeping: make initial record of cash received for employee meals.
- Keep a daily log of activity for the shift being worked.
- Give or receive reports from guard or coworker; receive daily mail; log all medication into the Pharmacy logbook and call the units to pick it up and sign the medication release.
- Handle all vending machine transactions.
- Record all reimbursements and communicate vending issues to supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the overall needs of the facility.
- May be required to assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Computer experience.
- Basic Math skills.
- Knowledge of front desk operations including greeting visitors, answering phones, routing calls, and managing sign-in procedures.
- Knowledge of basic office practices such as scheduling, filing, data entry, and document handling.
- Knowledge of customer service standards in a healthcare or long-term care environment.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures and visitor protocols within a skilled nursing facility.
Applicants must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work. Excluding current DVS employees, the selected candidate must pass a criminal background check.
