ABOUTTHE ROLE
The Environmental Graphic Designer IB is a creative professional who thrives on solving design challenges and craves opportunities to create extraordinary, joyful work with optimism and empathy. - Involvement inall phases of the design process from conceptual development through artwork production.
- Participate in recommendations for concept, design, art direction, and production for a variety of two- and three-dimensional graphics,signage and exhibits.
- Under direct supervision and partnership with the environmental graphics team, design a variety of two- and three-dimensional graphics, maps, print layouts for exhibits and signage.
- With guidance, work with selected clients andparticipatein the interpretation and translation of their expressed needs and ideas into concepts.
- Prepare photo visualizations and mockups of proposed signage for placement,content and/or usage.
- Prepare camera-ready artwork for fabrication.
- Work with vendors/fabricators.
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field required.
- Minimum of 2 yearsof related experience required.
- Strong typography skills.
- Mustdemonstrateskill and interest in 3-dimensional design, way finding, exhibitiondesignand environments.
- Must be analytical and an independent thinker.
- Proficiencyon Macintosh in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesignrequired, skills in AutoCAD and Sketchupa plus.
- Strong designorientation, communication skills, ability to collaborative well and attention to detail are essential.
