Locum - Physician - General Medicine VA

This opportunity offers flexible, part-time engagement with a focus on non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, supporting our heroes while allowing you to maintain your practice flexibility. Your expertise will directly contribute to serving those who have served our country.
RequiredSkills
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Virginia or eligible for licensure
- Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medical practice
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage exam documentation efficiently
- Ability to perform interview-based assessments with minimal supervision
- Prior experience with Veterans Affairs (VA) or military health services
- Familiarity with Compensation & Pension (C&P) exam protocols
- Certification in relevant areas such as DMA (Diplomate of Medical Assessment)
- Ability to conduct assessments in various clinical settings and manage administrative follow-up efficiently
Education and Experience
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related specialties
- Experience performing C&P exams and understanding VA-specific protocols preferred
