The Covenant School, an independent Christian Liberal Arts & Sciences school in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator to teach Theology at the Upper School level starting in the 2025-26 school year. Our school serves over 750 students from Pre-K through Grade 12, and is a gospel-centered community of faith and learning, rooted in the Western Liberal Arts tradition, and focused on the formation of the whole person—mind, body, and soul.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the academic study and practical application of Theology, as well as a passion for working with adolescents. Candidates should possess a mature, Christian faith and an educational philosophy consistent with The Covenant School’s mission statement and Christian Liberal Arts & Sciences pedagogy. The primary subject matter of courses taught will include a study of the Gospel of Mark and a survey of Church History with particular emphasis on spiritual formation.
