Blue Ridge Community College’s Office of Admissions & Outreach is seeking a Welcome Center Associate to…
- Support prospective students throughout the admissions and onboarding process by phone, email, in person, and via Zoom.
- Assist current students with scheduling advising appointments and navigating course registration through the same communication channels.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate resource or office.
- Evening and weekend recruitment events may be required on occasion.
This is a part-time wage position, limited to 1500 hours within a 12-month period, with no benefits. There is potential eligibility for educational assistance for BRCC classes and job-related training and/or certifications.
Minimum Qualifications- Outstanding customer service experience
- Demonstrated ability to interface with technology
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Experience in customer relations in a professional setting
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and constituencies to assist prospective students
- Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing tasks, attention to detail, and record‑keeping
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience working in college admissions and/or marketing
- Experience in Higher Education Outreach or other Student Services related fields
- Relevant education, experience and/or training
