POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe primary function of the Volleyball Coach is to develop and implement an exemplary program that will effectively provide the best possible education and athletic experience for each student athlete. Supervision is exercised over all student athletes participating in the volleyball program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
- Must have thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of volleyball.
- Prior experience as an athlete of the sport is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
- Must remain in good standing with the school community.
High School Principal and Activities Director.
SALARYGrade 7 (US $3, salary scale).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force, standing, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, walking, occasional sitting, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity and hearing are required. Preparation and analysis of written or computer data and observation of surroundings are also required. Occasional exposure to blood borne pathogens may require protective equipment. Work is conducted in a moderately noisy location such as a business office, playground, classroom, or light traffic environment.
New Kent County Public Schools will conduct a background investigation (fingerprinting) of the individual recommended to fill this vacancy.
