REPORTS TO:
Executive Director of Elementary Instruction, Title I Coordinator
DESCRIPTION:
The contracted reading interventionist will provide reading intervention services to private school students in a small group setting.
- Provide instruction to students who are experiencing difficulties with reading and writing in grades K-5
- Administer and score assessments
- Compile, analyze and interpret school-wide assessment data for classroom teachers
- Create individual student reading plan
- Prepare written reports and information for student files
- Consult with school staff and families regarding student literacy development
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License
- Reading Specialist endorsement preferred
- Successful full-time teaching experience preferred
