Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a self-contained Special Education Teacher serving an elementary caseload of 5-6 students. The position is based in Henrico, VA, with a contract extending through May 29th, 2026, starting as soon as possible. This role requires a valid special education teaching license and a dedication to fostering a supportive, individualized learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of 5-6 elementary students in a self-contained classroom setting
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state guidelines
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes
• Collaborate with parents, administrators, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational plan
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant legal and educational requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid special education teaching license
