Job Duties- Supports the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program by liaising with Virginia Works Registered Apprenticeship Consultants (RACs) to provide technical assistance to employers, intermediaries, and individuals seeking training to establish Registered Apprenticeships and intermediary partnerships.
- Promotes system building and continuous improvement; advises the Program Manager on implementation challenges and recommends corrective actions when issues or non‑compliance arise.
- Helps Virginia employers implement the Virginia Registered Apprenticeship Program (VRAP) as a solution for hiring and retaining a skilled healthcare workforce.
- Works with RACs to identify sponsor companies, intermediaries, educational providers, and stakeholders; delivers prompt and efficient customer service; and ensures programmatic compliance.
- Manages funding details: the position is funded by a five‑year grant effective March 1, 2026 through September 30, 2031; continued funding is contingent upon annual performance reviews.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of Registered Apprenticeship principles, workforce training methods, and strategies for employer engagement and program promotion.
- Excellent customer service, oral and written communication, facilitation and training, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to analyze information, identify program needs, develop solutions, and communicate and present findings effectively to small and large audiences.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employers, educational institutions, staff, and the public.
- Experience evaluating skill sets and training needs, creating plans to address gaps, mentoring or training staff as assigned, setting goals, determining actions, and executing tasks to achieve program expansion objectives; promoting program benefits to employers and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and ability to use automated systems for data entry, reporting, and case management.
- Knowledge of Virginia’s workforce development ecosystem.
- Experience in healthcare sectors.
- Experience with apprenticeship, job services and/or training programs, governmental operations, and employment laws.
- Experience training and mentoring staff and independently conducting quality assurance and/or EEO reviews.
