- Teach 15 credit hours per semester across in‑person, online/hybrid, laboratory, and clinical courses.
- Engage students in active learning, supervise clinicals, and complete accurate student file maintenance.
- Develop curriculum, design assessments, and advise students.
- Participate in Radiologic Technology program development, program evaluation, and college committees.
- Coordinate clinical education with didactic instruction and evaluate effectiveness.
- Assist the program director with all administrative aspects of the program.
- Maintain current knowledge of professional practice and educational technologies.
- Participate in accreditation and assessment processes.
- Serve on division and college‑wide committees and support college mission activities.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in imaging sciences, education, or a related health field, with a 24‑month completion requirement for associates in a bachelor’s program.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in radiography.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration.
- Understanding of community college mission and commitment to teaching, advising, and mentoring.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to teach during day, evening, and weekend hours; travel within Central Virginia.
- Proficiency with instructional technologies for in‑person and distance learning.
- Experience in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, and academic advising.
- Familiarity with regional accreditation standards, certification, and licensure requirements.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Teaching experience within an accredited radiography program.
- Administrative, program management, and/or curriculum development experience.
- Experience with instructional technology and student‑centered teaching styles.
- Experience developing online courses in a college setting.
- Master’s degree or higher in imaging sciences or education.
- Additional credential in CT, MRI, or mammography.
- Experience teaching in higher education, especially within a community college.
- Experience advising and mentoring students.
