Asst. Head Wrestling Coach (2026-27)

HCPS - Hermitage High School

The assistant coach supports the head coach in all aspects of the school's sports program, including coordinating high‑level practice sessions and providing exceptional leadership and coaching for student‑athletes during regional and state competitions. The assistant coach will facilitate team fundraising efforts, ensure safe travel for student‑athletes to and from games, and maintain the highest standards of sportsmanship and teamwork.

• Assist the head coach in the organization of the overall program.
• Supervise student‑athletes during daily practices and at games.
• Prepare players physically and mentally for interscholastic competition through practice, fundamental skills instruction, and rule knowledge.
• Assist in cleaning, storing, and properly caring for all team equipment.

• Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a public school athletic program.
• Proven ability to coordinate high‑level practice sessions.
• Ability to recruit, retain, and coordinate the efforts of an assistant coaching staff.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional leadership and coaching for student‑athletes during regional and state competitions.
• Prior experience preparing athletes for interscholastic competitions.
• Prior experience managing team fundraising efforts.

This vacancy is for the 2026-27 school year.

• $2,642 Annual /Season

* The stipend amount listed in this posting is based on the adopted 2025‑2026 financial plan. The final stipend amount will be determined once the 2026‑2027 school year financial plan is approved and adopted in Spring 2026.*
