Job Description

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

Extended School Year (ESY) Special Education Teacher

Location: Manassas, VA

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for the ESY setting.
Adapt instructional methods to meet students' needs.
Assess and monitor student progress.
Collaborate with ESY staff, parents, and service providers.
Create an inclusive classroom environment.
Maintain accurate student records.
Manage classroom behavior and ensure safety.
Participate in ESY training and meetings.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred).
Valid Virginia teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
Experience with special needs children, particularly in ESY programs.
Knowledge of IEP processes and special education laws.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
