Job Description:
As a School Social Worker with Soliant Education, you will provide essential support to elementary students, helping them overcome social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Your role will involve working directly with students, families, and school staff to promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Provide individual and group counseling to elementary students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral issues.
- Develop and implement interventions and support plans to address students' needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and provide appropriate referrals to outside resources if necessary.
- Participate in the development and implementation of school-wide programs to promote student well‑being and mental health.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and interventions.
- Must hold a valid School Social Worker license.
- Experience working with elementary students in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of social work principles, counseling techniques, and child development.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to support student success.
