Ultimately, this role exists to strengthen program quality, expand equitable access to career pathways, and ensure compliance with state and federal adult education priorities while meeting the diverse needs of adult learners across the region.
Organizational objective:To design, implement, and continuously improve integrated education and training (IET) programs that effectively align adult basic education, workforce preparation, and occupational skills training across a diverse regional service area. This includes supporting over 40 instructional sites, with targeted strategies for both community-based and correctional facility programs.
The IET Specialist will work collaboratively with instructional staff, workforce partners, and institutional stakeholders to ensure that all programming is responsive to regional labor market demands and accessible to learners with varied educational backgrounds and barriers to employment. Emphasis will be placed on increasing measurable skill gains, credential attainment, successful reentry outcomes for incarcerated individuals, and transitions to employment or postsecondary education.
Through data-driven decision-making, professional development support, and innovative program design, the role will strengthen instructional quality, ensure compliance with state and federal adult education guidelines, and promote equitable access to high-impact career pathways for all adult learners.
