ResponsibilitiesThe Fiber Optics Installer Adjunct Faculty member provides hands‑on instruction and classroom teaching in fiber optics installation, testing, and maintenance. This role prepares students for entry‑level to advanced careers in telecommunications by delivering industry‑aligned curriculum, emphasizing safety standards, troubleshooting techniques, and real‑world applications. The adjunct faculty member supports student learning through engaging instruction, lab supervision, assessment of competencies, and collaboration with program faculty to ensure course content reflects current industry practices.
Minimum Qualifications- Experience installing and splicing fiber optics with demonstrated competency in teaching field.
- One (1) year of related occupational experience.
- Knowledge of instructional methods related to adult learners.
- Knowledge of instructional technology applications, such as the Canvas learning management system.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with various student populations.
