- Reading Specialist
The middle school reading specialist teaches the Literacy Foundations classes. Literacy Foundations is a reading intervention class for our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. In Literacy Foundations, students work on reading and writing skills as well as vocabulary development. This class includes teacher‑led instruction, and students work in Lexia Power Up, our digital tool for literacy practice. The Literacy Foundations classes are small;
they are capped at 15 students. The Literacy Foundations teacher is responsible for planning small group lessons using Lexia Power Up data and resources.
- Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis on Education and VA Teaching license preferred, but Bachelor's Degree is required.
$254.72 daily rate
