Job DescriptionGermanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. Germanna Community College invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty member in Music.
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in Music. Instruction will occur online and in a classroom environment. The successful candidate will be able to successfully instruct and assist students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

Minimum Qualifications- M.F.A. or M.A. in music from an accredited university or college and have at least graduate 18 credits in their teaching field
- Understanding of general music theory and history
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Ability to use instructional technology
- Teaching online experience, Regular Substantive Interaction training, CANVAS lms skills
- Prior experience teaching in higher education
- Experience teaching in classroom, hybrid, and online formats
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working and learning environment
- Experience teaching students from diverse language backgrounds and varying levels of proficiency
- Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools
