About Reynolds Community College
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves the capital city and five nearby counties. With four campus sites, it serves approximately 13,000 credit students and trains 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance.
Position OverviewWe are looking for a Communications Adjunct Faculty member to provide high‑quality instruction that supports student learning and success. The role involves developing and delivering engaging course content, maintaining accurate and compliant syllabi, assessing student learning outcomes, providing timely feedback, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging course content using effective instructional methods and technology.
- Maintain accurate and compliant course syllabi.
- Assess student learning outcomes and provide timely feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate promptly with students and support institutional goals through required meetings.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned and assist state government in emergency situations.
- Travel among Reynolds campuses and partner sites may be required.
- Master’s degree in the teaching field or master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field, earned from a regionally accredited institution.
- Demonstrated commitment to student engagement and inclusive teaching practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience teaching in the discipline, especially at the college level.
- Experience teaching in in‑person, hybrid, and online formats.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working and learning environment.
- Familiarity with learning management systems.
Travel among Reynolds campuses and partner sites may be required.
