Welcome Center Associate (Part‑time)
Location: Augusta - 015
Pay: $18.00 – $27.00 per hour; limited to 1500 hours within a 12‑month period (May 1 – April 30).
Work Schedule: 8:15 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Monday–Friday; estimated 30 hours per week with some flexible scheduling options.
Responsibilities- Support prospective students throughout the admissions and onboarding process by phone, email, in person, and via Zoom.
- Assist current students with scheduling advising appointments and navigating course registration through the same communication channels.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate resource or office.
- Evening and weekend recruitment events may be required on occasion.
- Demonstrated ability to interface with technology.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Experience in customer relations in a professional setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and constituencies to assist prospective students.
- Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing tasks, attention to detail, and record‑keeping.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience working in college admissions and/or marketing.
- Experience in higher education outreach or other student services related fields.
- Relevant education, experience and/or training.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
