Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) is seeking a full‑time 9‑month faculty member for the 2nd year of the Associate Degree Nursing Program. The successful candidate must be committed to our mission to provide quality education to a diverse constituency.

• Teach 15 credit hours per semester (day, evening, and/or weekend sessions).
• Deliver didactic and clinical instruction at college‑served locations, including on‑campus and off‑campus sites.
• Provide student advising and mentorship.
• Teach in classrooms, clinical learning environments, and laboratories.
• Participate in professional activities.
• Mentor adjunct instructors.
• Contribute to program development and assessment.
• Assist in documentation required for accreditation (ACEN) and state board standards.
• Teach second‑year nursing students.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical partner requirements.

• BSN and current enrollment in an MSN program, to be completed within 2 years.
• Current unencumbered Virginia nursing license (or ability to obtain one before employment).
• At least two years of clinical experience in the area of responsibility.
• Familiarity with Virginia State Board of Nursing guidelines.
• Ability to work effectively with a culturally and educationally diverse student population.
• Proficiency in instructional technologies and dedication to their use.
• Demonstrated teaching skills and excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of the community college environment and mission.

• Teaching experience at the college level.
• Community college teaching experience.
• Experience in an ACEN‑accredited nursing program.
