Job DescriptionReynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds Community College is seeking qualified and student-centered adjunct faculty to teach Psychology courses on a part-time basis. - Teach undergraduate psychology courses (e.g., General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, or other specialty areas as assigned)
- Deliver instruction in accordance with approved course outlines and learning outcomes
- Create an engaging and supportive learning environment for diverse learners
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and course materials
- Respond to student communication in a timely and professional manner
- Participate in required adjunct meetings or training as needed
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology
- Prior teaching experience at the college level preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to student engagement and inclusive teaching practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience teaching in multiple instructional formats (in-person, hybrid, or online)
- Experience working with diverse student populations
Familiarity with learning management systems
