** Job Summary/Objective
** The Student Life Coordinator serves as a member of the Student Life team, supporting the co-curricular experience of Sweet Briar students through programming, student outreach, and leadership development.  This is a live-on, essential personnel position, with some evening and weekend work to be expected.
** Essential Responsibilities
*** Facilitate regular student life programming efforts to include, but not limited to:
Weeks of Welcome, the Founders’ Day Dance, wellness programming, and off-campus opportunities.
* Provide leadership and event planning support to registered student clubs and organizations, including hazing prevention education and compliance.
* Directly supervise 6-8 Resident Advisors (RAs)
* Participate in regular Professional Staff On-Call rotation, providing after-hours support to students, in partnership with RA’s and Campus Safety.  When needed, will serve as essential reporting personnel in response to campus crisis or emergency.
* Serve as an active participant in Residence Life functions including, but not limited to: recruitment, selection, and training of RA’s and residence hall operations such as submitting maintenance requests, conducting emergency drills, and preparing for break closings.

Other duties as assigned.## Qualifications
** Required Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution
* Previous campus involvement and leadership in student clubs and organizations
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students
* Proven ability to multi-task and respond to priorities
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in various forms
* Ability to maintain confidential information
* Familiarity with Google Calendar, Google Drive, and basic social media platforms
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Student Affairs, Higher Education or another appropriate field
* 1-3 years of professional experience working in a college or university setting
* Familiarity with Canvas and Canva platforms
* Previous experience in facilitation, event and program planning
