We are looking for a weekend trainer to expand our successful Commercial Driving School. This is a part‑time position assisting with training commercial driving students to earn their Class A CDL and gain entry‑level positions in the commercial driving industry. May also assist with Class B instruction. Only 2–4 students per instructional session. Weekend courses are up to 12 weeks long with the potential for three 12‑week sessions per year with breaks between sessions.
Full orientation and training is included for all new instructors. Drug testing and medical certification are required by DOT guidelines.
This is a part‑time wage position, limited to 1,500 hours within a 12‑month period, with no benefits. There is potential eligibility for educational assistance for BRCC classes and job‑related training and/or certifications.
Special AssignmentsMay be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Qualifications- Class A CDL with full background check and driving record check
- Knowledge of the commercial driving industry and DMV / DOT regulations
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
Experience with training/instruction and transportation logistics.
