We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our team at Locust Grove Primary. The ideal candidate will foster a love for physical activity and healthy living among students, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This role requires creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to the holistic development of young learners.

• Develop and implement engaging physical education lesson plans that align with state standards and promote physical fitness, motor skills, and overall well‑being.
• Create a safe and inclusive environment that encourages students to participate in various physical activities and sports.
• Assess and evaluate student performance and progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Foster teamwork, cooperation, and respect among students through group activities and sports.
• Organize and oversee physical education events, such as sports days, competitions, and fitness challenges.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to integrate physical education with other subjects.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and participation in physical activities.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in physical education and childhood fitness.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Physical Education.
• Experience working with young children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of physical education curriculum and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among students.
