Adjunct Faculty Pool - Engineering

Job Description

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) seeks adjunct faculty in the Engineering discipline. Positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis as needed.

• Teach developmental and/or college‑level engineering courses, including distance‑learning courses during weekdays and weekends.
• Primarily conduct face‑to‑face instruction with the possibility of remote instruction.
• Prepare and deliver course materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Participate in professional development activities and department meetings as required.
• Assist the agency or state government as assigned during emergency declarations.

• Master’s degree in an engineering field.
• At least two years of teaching experience and work experience in the field.
• Experience with online teaching.
• History of successful teaching or related experience.

• Operation of a state vehicle:

• Travels to and from any college campus/site location as assigned.
