Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
• Plan and deliver engaging and effective instruction in self-contained or resource classroom settings.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student success.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related services staff, and parents to support student learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to ensure academic and personal growth.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student performance and IEP goals.

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia, Maryland, or District of Columbia Special Education teaching certification.
• Must have obtained, or be currently obtaining ASD credential.
• Experience working with students with diverse disabilities and behavioral needs.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  
  Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
