Adjunct Faculty Pool - Communication Studies
We are seeking qualified adjunct faculty members in the discipline of Communication Studies to teach the course Principles of Public Speaking in the Higher Education in Prison Program.
Responsibilities- Teach developmental and/or college‑level courses, including distance‑learning courses as required.
- Provide face‑to‑face instruction with the possibility of remote instruction.
- Perform other duties as assigned and assist in emergency response if needed.
- Deliver instruction on weekdays and weekends, during day or evening as required.
- Master’s degree in Communication Studies or master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Communication Studies (Ph.D. preferred).
- Minimum of two years teaching experience; experience with online teaching desirable.
- Expertise, knowledge, experience, and education in the subject area and a history of successful teaching or related experience.
- Ability to travel to any college campus or site location as assigned.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States; successful completion of a criminal background investigation is required.

- Cover letters should state a specific interest in teaching at a prison site.

Other InformationPositions are part‑time, course‑by‑course, semester basis. Remuneration is commensurate with education and experience. Telework options may be available. No immigration sponsorship at this time.
