Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a non‑residential two‑year institution of higher education located in Albemarle County, Virginia. This position fulfills admissions and workforce development goals by providing high‑quality adjunct faculty instruction in EMS courses.
ResponsibilitiesAdjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis. Responsibilities include teaching developmental and/or college‑level courses, which may include distance‑learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends. Primarily face‑to‑face with the possibility of remote instruction.
May also be required to perform other duties as assigned, including assisting the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Required Qualifications- Paramedic:
National Registry & VA state licensure as a paramedic - EMT‑B:
State of VA certification in teaching area
Additional considerations: two years of teaching experience, work experience in the field, and experience with online teaching.
