Adjunct Faculty Pool - Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a non‑residential two‑year institution of higher education serving Central Virginia. PVCC is nationally recognized for its transfer curriculum and workforce development programs.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeaching Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) content in classroom and campus laboratories. Designing course syllabi and developing course materials related to DMS. Providing hands‑on lab practice and teaching lecture, online, or hands‑on laboratory courses. Teaching load is based on student enrollment and staffing needs.
This position will not consider candidates who require immigration sponsorship.
Required Qualifications- Active RDMS credentials in both abdomen and Ob/Gyn.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in the teaching field with demonstrated competencies.
- Minimum of 2 years full‑time related occupational experience as a sonographer.
- Knowledge of computers and online instructional technologies (Canvas).
- Skilled in teaching lecture, online, and/or hands‑on laboratory courses.
- Multiple professional registry credentials (RVT, RDCS).
- Prior teaching experience.
