Blessed Sacrament Huguenot Catholic School seeks an engaging, knowledgeable, and student-centered Dual Enrollment English Faculty member to teach college-level English courses to qualified high school students. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellence in teaching, a passion for literature and composition, and a commitment to fostering critical thinking, effective communication, and intellectual curiosity within a faith-filled learning environment.

As a member of our Catholic educational community, the Dual Enrollment English Faculty member supports the mission of Blessed Sacrament Huguenot Catholic School by integrating Catholic values into classroom instruction, promoting academic excellence, and nurturing the spiritual, moral, and intellectual development of each student.

Teach dual enrollment English courses in accordance with the curriculum and standards established by the partnering college or university as well as the Office of Catholic Schools.

Develop engaging lessons that strengthen students' reading, writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.

Maintain high academic expectations while providing appropriate support for student success.

Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments and provide timely, meaningful feedback.

Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and course documentation as required by both the school and partnering institution.

Communicate regularly with students, parents, administration, and college representatives regarding student progress and course expectations.

Foster a classroom environment characterized by respect, academic integrity, collaboration, and Catholic values.

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, parent conferences, and other school events as requested.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

Serve as a positive role model who upholds the mission and values of Blessed Sacrament Huguenot Catholic School.

Master's degree in English or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in English.

Eligibility to teach dual enrollment courses through the partnering college or university.

Demonstrated excellence in teaching writing, literature, and composition.

Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.

Ability to effectively integrate technology into instruction.

Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and academically rigorous classroom environment.
