Job DescriptionLaurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part‑time faculty (day, evening and weekend) positions in Humanities and Social Science. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college‑level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus during the day, evening and weekends. This position may be located on the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, or Luray‑Page County Center as needed.
Applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland or DC.
Humanities and Social Science includes Arts, Education, English, Economics, History, Psychology, Philosophy, Spanish, Speech/Drama and Sociology.
Responsibilities- Teach college‑level courses, including day, evening, weekend and distance learning.
- Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the specific teaching discipline.
- History of teaching or related experience.
- Teaching experience at post‑secondary level preferred.
- Able to use instructional technology.
Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty:
The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant or teaching experience. The position is part time and is not eligible for health or leave benefits, but may offer educational benefits through professional development and educational assistance policies.
