Adjunct Faculty - Accounting

Job Summary

Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for part‑time adjunct faculty in Accounting. The position is taught on the Fauquier Campus, Middletown Campus, and Luray‑Page County Center, with options for hybrid or online delivery.

• Teach college‑level accounting courses, including distance learning.
• Deliver instruction in day, evening, and weekend classes.
• Assist in curriculum development and the use of instructional technology.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit required documentation.

• Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field with 18 graduate semester credits in Accounting and at least two years of full‑time related work experience.
• Alternative credential:
  Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business, or Finance with significant certifications (e.g., CPA) and at least two years of full‑time related work experience.
• Proficiency with instructional technology, including Canvas or other online course management tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• College‑level teaching experience, with online experience considered a plus.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population.

Pay is per credit hour and commensurate with education and teaching experience. As a part‑time position, health or leave benefits are not available; however, educational benefits may be provided through professional development and educational assistance policies.

Telework may be an option for eligible positions, subject to policy and business needs.
