Adjunct Faculty - Engineering Technology

Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part‑time faculty (day, evening and weekend) positions for an Engineering adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis as needed.

• Teach college‑level courses, including distance learning on and off campus, during day, evening, and weekend sessions.
• Teach at the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray‑Page County Center as required.
• Prepare and deliver course materials, assessments, and online content using Canvas or other online course management tools.
• Engage with a diverse student body and coordinate with faculty, staff, and students.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or Associate’s degree with at least two years of relevant work experience.
• Experience teaching at the college level, preferably online.
• Proficiency in using instructional technology and online course management systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to working with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.

Remuneration is based on a per‑credit‑hour rate commensurate with education and relevant teaching experience. This part‑time position does not qualify for health or leave benefits but may offer educational benefits through professional development and educational assistance policies.

Telework may be an option for eligible positions based on job requirements. Eligible positions are determined by the type of work and job requirements of the position, as defined by heads of agencies.
