Training Instructor / Specialist, Electrical Engineering
Job Summary (Chemistry Instructor)
Develop instructional materials and conduct training for the Chemistry technical training program. The incumbent at this level should have in-depth knowledge of instructional design theory as well as expertise in the technical area for which training is provided. Responsibilities include analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training in the classroom, laboratory, and on-the-job. The role also maintains training programs in accordance with nuclear industry, regulatory, and legal requirements.
Qualifications- 12+ years of related experience
- Certified Instructor (including 5+ years of experience)
- RO or SRO (including 5+ years of experience)
- Senior Instructor Training Certificate from Dominion (including 5+ years of experience)
In-depth knowledge of instructional theory and design, including SAT.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency in personal computer use, operation of various instrumentation and controls, and problem solving.
Abilities:
Analyze and develop training materials, train and lead others, interface with regulatory personnel and industry peers, exhibit informal leadership skills, and effectively communicate with regulators.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.
Education RequirementsDegree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of the preferred level of education.
- Bachelor's degree
- Preferred discipline:
Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Education (other disciplines may be substituted)
- ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, Section 4.5.4
- High school diploma
- Minimum related experience: 2 years;
Nuclear power plant experience: 0.25 years - Demonstrated knowledge of instructional techniques and certification as a qualified instructor for the material presented
- Instructors of licensed personnel on the simulator must hold or have held a senior operator's license or be certified for equivalent senior operator knowledge

The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.
