Administration of Justice Adjunct (Fall 2026)

Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. We serve as a regional leader providing quality learning experiences to students.

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. We are currently seeking adjunct faculty members to teach Administration of Justice courses.

• Plan and deliver course content in face‑to‑face and virtual modalities.
• Use learning management systems and educational technology to facilitate instruction, assessment, and communication.
• Maintain consistent communication and virtual support mechanisms to ensure student success.
• Engage in continuous professional development in instructional practices and virtual education.

• Master’s Degree in Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related discipline (or at least 18 graduate semester hours in the field).
• Official transcripts must be provided before final offer.
• At least two years of teaching experience.
• Experience teaching in face‑to‑face and online formats at a regionally accredited institution.
• Stable access to internet and computers to teach remotely.
• Demonstrated competency in using and developing online courses in synchronous and asynchronous environments.
• Complete Growing with Canvas and TOP 2.2 prior to teaching.

• Experience with innovative teaching methods.
• Work experience in the field.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned and assist the agency or state government in an emergency declaration by the Governor.
