Psychology Adjunct (Summer and Fall 2026)
Germanna Community College is a two-year public institution within the Virginia Community College System. We are seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Psychology courses both in-person and online for the Summer and Fall 2026 terms.
Duties and Responsibilities- Teach specific classes in Psychology, both in-person and online.
- Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
- Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
- Adhere to College policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain current competence in Psychology.
Provide quality instruction, meet assigned classes regularly, submit required records and reports routinely, teach prescribed courses, and adhere to professional ethics per College policies.
Qualifications- Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology.
- Ability to teach classroom and online courses effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in instructional technology.
- Experience or willingness to use artificial intelligence tools.
- Prior teaching experience (preferred).
- Work experience in the field (preferred).
- Experience developing online courses in synchronous and asynchronous environments at a regionally accredited institution (preferred).
- Operation of a State Vehicle:
No. - May be required to travel to all campus locations.
- May be required to perform additional duties as assigned and assist the agency in emergencies.
Salary range: $836–$1,737 per credit hour, based on student enrollment and staffing needs.
LocationCollege is located in Virginia. Candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate.
