Quantico, VA**###  Classes are typically scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings, 6:00-9:00 or 6:30 - 9:30pm (EST).University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site at Quantico, VA,for the Political Science program.
** Required

Education and Experience:

*** A Masters degree in Political Science or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning
* Professional experience in Political Science, Application of Political Theory, American government, international relations, or related field
* Prior teaching experience required;
Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
* This position is specifically to teach in Quantico, VA.
** Preferred

Education and Experience:

*** Professional experience in homeland security, counter terrorism, and related topics preferred.
* Professional experience in domestic governmental operations, administrative policy, and related topics preferred.

* Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem- and project-based learning demonstrations.
* Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.
* Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
* Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.
