CONTENT TUTOR – PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT Special Assignments

General DescriptionThe Content Tutor:
Physical Therapy Assistant cooperatively assist students with various healthcare subjects including but not limited to math, sciences, and writing (as feasible) through instruction and implementing study skills.
- Provide tutoring assistance to students as needed
- Assist ASC Manager in forming specialized study groups as need arises
- Assign software programs to assist students in various academic programs
- Distribute information leading to academic improvement
- Consult with faculty regarding center’s resources
- Research current list of useful Internet resources for student and faculty use
- Work closely with Tutoring Services Coordinator, academic discipline faculty and staff, and Student Services faculty and staff to provide optimal services to students
- Provide tutoring services orientation for any willing faculty member
- Communication and written skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to assist undergraduate learners with course content
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse student population.
- Experience with one-on-one and/or group tutoring
- Experience as a physical therapist assistant
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy ( DPT ) program
- Successful passing score of a licensing examination
