Job DescriptionThe Content Tutor cooperatively assist students with various healthcare subjects including but not limited to math, sciences, and writing (as feasible) through instruction and implementing study skills.
Duties and Tasks- Provide tutoring assistance to students as needed
- Assist ASC Manager in forming specialized study groups as need arises
- Assign software programs to assist students in various academic programs
- Distribute information leading to academic improvement
- Consult with faculty regarding center’s resources
- Research current list of useful Internet resources for student and faculty use
- Work closely with Tutoring Services Coordinator, academic discipline faculty and staff, and Student Services faculty and staff to provide optimal services to students
- Provide tutoring services orientation for any willing faculty member
- Customer service skills
- Ability to assist undergraduate learners with course content
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Tutoring and/or teaching experience of nursing.
- Experience as a registered nurse
- one‑on‑one and group tutoring experience
- Earned credential (certificate, associate of applied science degree, bachelor’s degree) in nursing
- Successful completion of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)
