Job DescriptionMountain Gateway Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education and one of 23 community colleges in Virginia. The college is supported by the Commonwealth of Virginia; the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Botetourt (northern portion) and Rockbridge; the cities of Buena Vista, Covington, and Lexington; and the town of Clifton Forge. Position:Welding Instructors (Evening Classes)

As a Welding Instructor, you will deliver high-quality instruction in our evening classes, providing students with hands‑on training and theoretical knowledge in welding techniques, safety protocols, and industry standards. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to mentor students and contribute to workforce development in our community.
Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver engaging welding curriculum for evening classes
- Ensure a safe learning environment adhering to safety regulations
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper safety protocols are followed
- Collaborate with program staff to enhance course offerings
- Be part of a respected trades program that makes a real difference

- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, or related trades
- Certification or credentials in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector or equivalent) preferred
