Job Description:Eastern Shore Community College is a member of the Virginia Community College System. The College serves the residents of Accomack County and Northampton County as a two-year institution of higher learning. Operating under policies established by the State Board for Community Colleges and the Eastern Shore Community College Board, the college is financed primarily with state funds, supplemented by contributions from the two counties and the Eastern Shore Community College Foundation.
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. All faculty members must be skilled in oral and written communications and must be able to work cooperatively with other staff members.

This wide salary range reflects the diverse faculty ranks within the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). Final salary determination and placement within this range are based on the candidate’s academic credentials and occupational experience as evaluated via the VCCS-10 process.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferably an Associate degree or equivalent.
- Five years of current occupational experience.
- Demonstrates potential in teaching effectiveness
- Industrial Technology experience.
- Teaching experience .
- Knowledge of, and experience with, proven teaching strategies that promote student success.
- Candidates should possess sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources.
