Job DescriptionGermanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. The College is a dynamic learning organization that serves as a Germanna regional leader and preferred partner where quality learning experiences enable students to participate effectively in the social, economic, political, intellectual, and cultural life of their communities. Germanna Community College is centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA between Washington D.C. and Richmond and between the Blue Ridge mountains and the Chesapeake Bay.

This posting is intended to establish a pool of qualified adjunct candidates for anticipated instructional needs for 2027. Actual hiring and course assignments are contingent upon enrollment, scheduling demands, program needs, and funding availability. As a result, there may or may not be positions filled from this posting.
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. We are currently seeking adjunct faculty members to teach Administration of Justice courses.
Please note: This wide salary range reflects the diverse faculty ranks within the Virginia Community College System ( VCCS ). Final salary determination and placement within this range are based on the candidate’s academic credentials and occupational experience as evaluated via the VCCS
-10 process.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications- Master’s Degree in the discipline or a Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related discipline

- Ability to demonstrate the use of relevant technology and learning management systems to effectively facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and communication
- Commitment to student engagement in the online teaching environment including maintaining consistent communication and virtual support mechanisms to ensure student success.
- Technology capability (stable access to the Internet, computers) to teach remotely when applicable
