About This Role
We're seeking dedicated and hardworking teachers to join our team at Lil' Bloomer's Daycare in McGaheysville. As a teacher, you'll play a vital role in shaping the minds of our youngest learners, from newborns to Kindergarten-starters. Our center operates Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 6pm, offering a flexible schedule that accommodates students attending college or with other commitments. We're proud to offer paid holidays after six months and paid vacation time after a year of employment.

Key Responsibilities:
- We're looking for a qualified teacher who can create engaging lesson plans and deliver instruction in a way that aligns with our center's philosophy and goals.
- Each day, you'll develop and prepare lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
- The classroom environment is a top priority, and you'll be responsible for maintaining a well-organized and stimulating space that fosters learning and exploration.
- Effective communication is crucial in our center. You'll maintain open lines of communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues, keeping them informed about their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- As a teacher, you'll oversee and supervise children in the classroom, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Mealtime is a significant part of our day, and you'll assist with preparing snacks and meals for our students.
- We expect all our staff to maintain a professional demeanor, dress code, and attitude, even in challenging situations.
- Confidentiality is essential in our role, and you'll be expected to maintain the trust placed in you by our families.
- Keeping the classroom clean and tidy is a shared responsibility. You'll contribute to our daily cleaning and chores routine.
- Some of our younger students are still learning to use the potty. You'll be happy to change diapers and support them during this process.
- We work together as a team, and you'll need to accept direction from and cooperate with our director, lead teachers, and fellow employees.
- We celebrate diversity in our center and expect you to work collaboratively with people from various educational, ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Will need a TB test and be required to attend/receive training such as CPR and FA within the first 90 days of working.
- All staff members must pass background checks.
- At least 6 months childcare experience for lead teacher positions. Teacher Assistants no experience in childcare is required.
