Laurel Ridge Community College (Laurel Ridge) seeks applicants for a 9 month grant-funded faculty position to provide leadership and instruction for the Emergency Medical Services ( EMS ) program. Reporting to the Dean of Health Professions, the successful candidate will serve as an instructor of Emergency Medical Services, working with constituents from across the college and community to help shape the direction and future of the program.

The faculty member will use multiple methods of instruction, assessment results and appropriate instructional technologies to engage students in learning and self-development activities geared toward student success, retention, and completion.

The ideal candidate will teach in traditional and non-traditional settings, including hybrid and/or online courses, which may be in a variety of formats and lengths and will facilitate student learning and development activities outside the classroom (e.g., clinical experiences, clubs, experiences for students in the community, etc.). This candidate will collaborate in the development of new course curriculum, degrees, certificates, and trainings as appropriate that align with the direction of the EMS program and the School of Health Professions.

The candidate will work to strengthen and expand relationships and partnerships with K-12, higher education, industry, and community organizations in support of the college mission, vision, and values.
