The Solar Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Charlottesville Area. This role involves installing residential and commercial solar energy systems, including mounting panels, running wiring, and assisting with system testing and commissioning. Day-to-day tasks include working on rooftops and ground mounts, safely using hand tools and power tools, following installation plans, and supporting the crew lead or project manager.

The installer will help load materials, maintain a clean and organized job site, and ensure all work meets safety, quality, and local code standards. The role also includes collaborating with team members, communicating clearly with customers when needed, and participating in training to stay current on solar industry best practices.

• Knowledge of solar power and solar systems.
• Skills in safely using hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with the solar industry and basic electrical concepts.
• Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety protocols.
• Previous experience in construction, roofing, or electrical work is beneficial.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team is essential.
