Are you passionate about building and bringing to life some of the most advanced data centers in the world?
We’re partnered with a leading hyperscale data center owner/operator delivering large-scale, mission-critical facilities across the region. They are seeking a Data Center Commissioning Engineer to play a key role in ensuring new facilities are delivered safely, reliably, and to the highest engineering standards.
You’ll join a highly skilled, collaborative team responsible for commissioning the electrical, mechanical, and control systems that underpin always-on digital infrastructure.
The RoleAs a Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the oversight, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities across new-build and special data center projects. You’ll work closely with contractors, vendors, design teams, and operations to ensure all systems perform exactly as intended from day one.
Systems you’ll commission include:
- Medium & Low Voltage Power Systems
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Generators & UPS
- Chilled Water & Hydronic Systems
- Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
- Review design documentation, drawings, specifications, vendor submittals, and sequences of operation
- Lead and support multi-discipline commissioning activities across electrical and mechanical scopes
- Develop, review, and execute commissioning plans, test scripts, and reports
- Ensure systems meet design intent, industry standards, and safety requirements
- Coordinate commissioning schedules and support integrated systems testing
- Audit commissioning activities for quality, environmental, and safety compliance
- Proactively communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to project stakeholders
Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in engineering, installation, startup, or commissioning of critical infrastructure systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, or controls systems (with the ability to cross-train)
- Experience reviewing and validating commissioning documentation and test procedures
Preferred:
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in mission-critical environments
- Ability to read and edit construction and control documentation
- Experience developing and executing test procedures aligned to design intent
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook;
SharePoint or similar tools a plus
- Work on hyperscale, cutting-edge data center projects
