Senior Mission Engineer

Overview

SCCI is seeking a skilled Senior Mission Engineer to join our team! In this position, you will provide technical expertise and engineering development support for a Combat Systems Engineering contract. This position is in support of future work expected in January 2027. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA
. This position may require occasional travel.

• Coordinating development activities for engineering systems and capabilities, such as mission scenario development and requirements definition, analysis, and generation
• Applying mission engineering practices to understand current mission operational gaps and needs
• Conducting detailed and complex system engineering independently
• Participating in technical reviews

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret Security Clearance
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or four (4) years of a demonstrated and established knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the SOW in lieu of degree
• Ten (10) years experience with emphasis in one or more of the following:
  Combat Systems Cyber Security, Ships Self Defense System, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class, AEGIS Integrated Combat Systems, DDG-1000 Zumwalt class destroyer, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense and Weapon/Sensor Combat Systems to conduct and coordinate individual projects
• Experience in functional and system level requirements analysis, requirements generation, and technical review
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
