Responsibilities- Establish and maintain ESHQ procedures and programs for XZ site to ensure occupational health and safety of employees and to ensure no environment issue caused by daily operation. These programs include but not limit to work permits, incident report and investigation, contractor safety, inspections, Lockout/Tagout, job safety risk analysis, chemical management, MOC, management of wastewater, gas emission, hazardous waste etc.
- Identify and evaluate all applicable legal requirements and Evonik corporate requirements related to fulfill legal and the company requirements and maintain its update.
- Take lead on and maintain ISO
9001/ISO
14001/ISO
45001 management system, and other legally required certifications. - Keep good cooperation with related authorities and their third parties, and submit authorities required reports and statistics timely.
- Lead and conduct internal inspection/audit program and coordination to daily operation in XZ site.
- Lead chemical management includes chemical SDS, storage, warehouse, classification, labelling, waste disposal.
- Responsible for management of incident reporting, investigation and analysis for the site.
- Ensure effective emergency management and plan, conduct emergency drill in XZ site.
- Provide necessary ESH training to employees and contractors in XZ site.
- Regularly/timely implement the application for site related licenses/certificates and get the license/certificates from related authorities, including but not limited to hazardous chemicals trading licenses and hazardous chemicals registration certificates, drug/explosive precursor chemicals purchase certificates, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical/safety/environment/engineering, a plus with master’s degree.
- Experience working in chemical production/chemical R&D center with emphasis in ESH area, a plus in sound knowledge in ISO ESH Management System and implementation skills.
- Organize and coordinate internal and external resources to achieve relevant goals and objectives.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in maintaining good relationships with government bodies and local authorities.
- Strong responsible for making decisions with priority setting and multi-tasking capabilities.
- Capabilities to make judgement on critical issues and flexibility to manage unexpected situations.
- Fluent English skill being able to communicate in English both in speaking and writing.
- A plus with professional certification (Certified Safety Professional, etc.).
