In support of our customer, we are seeking Textile SME (Subject Matter Expert) with experience in supporting clothing certification analysis and design efforts in accordance with program documentation, requirements, and design objectives.

Job Description
  • Support the design of functional, durable, and innovative clothing components and gear to include ensuring designs meet the specific performance and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and material resources to identify appropriate textiles and technologies.
  • Analyze and validate clothing and gear against military standards, regulations, and specifications.
  • Support performance testing (e.g. durability, comfort, environmental resistance) to certify clothing. This includes documenting safety and compliance standards.
  • Will stay informed on advancements in textile technology and design, including exploration of sustainable and cost-effective materials that meet performance requirements.
  • Work with the program team to identify opportunities to enhance the functionality and efficiency of clothing designs.
  • Provide detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations on new designs and materials for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support the oversight of test events while maintaining detailed records of testing, certification, and revisions for all clothing designs.
  • Apply best industry practices and standards, leading-edge technology, and innovative solutions to intractable problems.
  • Define key concepts for planning, deployment, integration, operation and/or enhancement of state-of-the-art and/or legacy systems.
  • Develop and apply highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts; employ methodologies for guiding others in problem resolution.
  • Develop and/or review study plans and monitor/reports project status.
  • Function independently to resolve problems; manage, lead and advise staff members to meet established objectives; plan R&D programs and recommend technological application programs to accomplish long range program objectives.
  • Develop insightful solutions to meet fiscal, technological and schedule constraints.
  • Possess unique experience, skills, and expert knowledge in highly specialized technical, functional, and/or process areas within the related discipline.
Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience.

Specific / Preferred Requirements
  • Preferred expertise with supporting clothing certification analysis and design efforts in accordance with program documentation and design requirements.
  • Hold a current Secret clearance.
