Senior Procurement Engineer - Travel

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare technical documentation including RFQ packages, quote solicitations, evaluations, and procurement documentation
• Initiate and manage purchase orders while aligning material deliveries with project schedules
• Participate in specification reviews, bid preparation, submittal reviews, and quote solicitation processes
• Develop supplier scopes of work, solicit proposals, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms
• Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Track late or incorrect material orders and expedite as needed
• Resolve payment issues, material discrepancies, and manage refunds when required
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure contractual obligations are met
• Identify and onboard new suppliers as project needs evolve
• Issue and maintain internal procurement and material tracking reports
• Support material inspections, factory testing, and coordination meetings
• Mentor and support team members on specification review, project scope, procurement strategy, and negotiation approach

• 5+ years of experience in procurement within a construction related environment
• Electrical construction or electrical systems background preferred
• Data center or mission critical project experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of material planning, engineering coordination, and purchasing requirements
• Proven negotiation skills related to cost, contracts, and supplier agreements
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross functionally
